We're only aware of a few other cameras on the market today that are able to pack in enough Infrared technology to see farther than 200 ft in complete darkness and this outdoor surveillance camera is one of them! It starts out by incorporating a very high 600 Line resolution CCD. During the day or in lighted areas, you'll get a crisp and clear color video image. In low lighting, the Black and White image sensor kicks on giving equally clear video as the Color while allowing you to see up to 200 feet in complete darkness! Here comes the part where we say, "INCREDIBLE!!!" This outdoor security camera offers a 0.001 Lux rating in the color mode so you can see in color in very low light, and a 0 Lux rating up to 200ft when the infrared kicks on so you can see who is lurking around in the dark.
This 3960AVA camera also comes with a manual variable zoom lens that you can adjust by hand when you are installing it. You can adjust the lens from 2.8mm (90 degree angle of view) to 12mm (30 degree angle of view) and set it at your desired zoom length in between. At the 90 degree view you can expect facial recognition up to 22 ft away and at the highest zoom setting you can expect to catch facial detail up to 50ft away.
On top of all these features, it also has Digital Noise Reduction (DNR). This is yet another feature that puts this camera above other cameras in the market. Most cameras on the market will display very grainy video during night time, with this camera featuring DNR, the noise has been greatly reduced.
Encased in an aluminum weatherproof casing , this workhorse can withstand rain or snow and will see perfectly where the human eye is unable in total darkness!
